Concert Programming Change!

Temple Symphony Orchestra patrons are advised that due to an unfortunate and serious injury, the program for the Season Finale Concert has had to be modified. Our originally scheduled soloist, Frances Renzi, took a nasty fall on ice this winter, and broke her wrist. As many of you know, a wrist break is difficult, and for a concert pianist, a genuine disaster.

As a result of this injury, Frances has been advised by her physician to not attempt to perform/play until mid-summer. Needless to say, this puts her out of the running for our May concert.

Fortunately, our soloist scheduled for the May, 2011 Season Finale has graciously agreed to substitute their booking for Frances’ and we will simply reverse the dates of these concerts. John Fairlie, bassoonist, will be performing this May, with Frances performing with the orchestra in May, 2011. John will be performing his tremendous Hungarian Fantasy & Rondo by Carl Maria Von Weber, assuring audience satisfaction.

Please contact our Executive Director, Rick Thomssen, know if you have any questions regarding this schedule change. He may be reached at (254) 778-NOTE (6683) or by or by email. We appreciate our audience’s flexibility and know they will not be disappointed!
